- The gulls at Sea Palling on Sunday really were amazing to watch. Here's a few of the 21 Caspian Gulls #NorfolkBirding 📸 Peter Wilson
- A heart in the mouth moment while guiding today, when we popped into Morston to check the quay for Greenshank! This fine adult Red-breasted Goose was in amongst the Brents from the entrance road - also found independently by visiting birders Karen Leonhardt & Malcolm Royal #NorfolkBirding

- 2025 has been a record year for BBS coverage! 4,054 visits to BBS squares have been made this year. This beats the 2018 record of 4,048. Thanks so much to all of the BBS volunteers across the UK who have contributed to this! @btobirds.bsky.social @jncc.bsky.social @rspbscience.bsky.social

- Lapland Bunting, Dunwich yesterday. A scarce migrant through Suffolk (rarely over winters), Lapland Bunting numbers have varied from 6-21 (av. 11) in the county over the past 10 years and is now hard to connect with, so it was nice to find this #ukbirding #suffolkbirding

- Carrying on my streak of Shrikes in East Anglia, today I dropped in on the Red-tailed Shrike at Dunwich Heath. Showed fantastically in the morning sun, well worth the trip.

- Found this cracking Red breasted flycatcher at winterton this afternoon, initially very sluggish & napping, then became much more sprightly, even feeding on the floor a few metres away oblivious to my presence. Also 5 redstarts, winterton/horsey, song thrushes, robins & goldcrests. #norfolkbirding

- We had a great Regional Network meeting at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve at the weekend, discussing upcoming BTO projects and of course we slotted in some time for birding. 🐦 A huge thanks to our brilliant volunteers for joining us and for all the incredible work they do to support BTO! 😀
