International Round Up: How Did The Spirit Players Fare?
With camp occurring outside of a normal FIFA international window, the USWNT drew upon a roster of domestic-based players for their matches against Paraguay and Chile. The absence of some Europe-based regulars didn’t phase the US in the least. The USWNT routed Paraguay 6-0 in Carson. Three nights later, a similar story played out in Santa Barbara, with the US downing Chile 5-0.
