I can never decide if the internet was actually better and more interesting in the 90s or if I was just like 14
Feb 2, 2026 05:59sometimes I think about how there was SO MANY personal fandom pages for any given subject that they had to get creative with theming and I get a little sad because there's a lot less of that these days
tumblr era ask blogs got close to that feel
I do feel like the internet was more of an Activity in the 90s/00s. It had more of the "wikipedia rabbit hole" vibe of 'oh, I like this person's website, what links do they share?' and on and on and on. More exploratory.
