- Our paper "Crumbling cliffs and intergenerational cohesivity" is out in #GeosceinceCommunication🥂 Working with young people in Withernsea, one of the world’s fastest eroding coastlines, we developed a participatory, creative model of climate praxis gc.copernicus.org/articles/8/213…
- Not only do you get to participate in a fantastic citizen science project via the communiMap app but you also get the chance to win a beautiful painting by Libby Walker 😍 I mean what you waiting for ✨️👇
- Libby Walker painted Glasgow from the @uofglasgow.bsky.social flagpole yesterday! What happens if every photo is a brushstroke, and together we paint Glasgow’s storybook? 📖🌍 That’s communiMap! We’re raffling Libby’s painting. Add a “spot” between 9–22 Sept to be in with a chance of winning :-)
- We want to understand how people are engaging with freshwater spaces across the UK. The good, the bad or even the ugly. You don't need to be a swimmer, you could just enjoy going to these spaces. Either way would be great to hear your thoughts 🥰 lovewindermere.co.uk/get-involved/
- Fantastic to see this paper in @thegj.bsky.social out by Mark Holton Care-ful encounters: A case for empathetic youthful encounters with coastal environments 👏 rgs-ibg.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
- Thrilled to share our latest paper published in BERA journal. From science to storytelling: Advancing a Climate Knowledge-Action Frame In this paper we challenge the dominant "knowledge deficit" model in climate education & propose a more inclusive, action-oriented approach 1/3
- Drawing on our participatory action research with youth in Northern Vietnam, we explore how creative storytelling, indigenous knowledge, and emotional engagement can bridge the gap between climate knowledge and meaningful action. 2/3
- From water puppetry performances to digital storybooks, this project shows how youth-led, arts-based methods can empower communities and influence policy. bera-journals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1... 3/3
- 🚨 New survey with partners Love Windermere as part of my British Academy funded project 🚨 We want to understand how people are engaging with freshwater spaces across the UK. The good, the bad or even the ugly. lovewindermere.co.uk/get-involved/ #BAECRN #ECRNetwork #SeedFund
- Over the moon to finally announce our NERC: Natural Environment Research Council funded project Charnwood Champions 🥳 This project has been a dream of mine for many years after witnessing the inconsistancy and inequality of opportunities for children to access the natural environment
- 🌱 What if environmental science belonged to everyone? We’re proud to launch Charnwood Champions: A Passport to Inclusive Environmental Science – a bold, place-based project reimagining environmental learning, opportunity, and leadership. 🔗 More here: www.lboro.ac.uk/subjects/geo...
- For a more diverse workforce we need 2 start exposure in early years providing a passport of opportunities. The beauty is its dual purpose by not only fostering a deeper understanding of the environment but promoting proenvironmental behaviors. Essential in building a sustainable & resilient society
- Looking forward to working with my dream team of @joshwolstenholme.bsky.social Rachel Obrike and some other guy called @bedforms.bsky.social to make a difference to children lives in a changing climate ✨️

- Noticed I say thrilled a lot on my posts... so as a Mancunian I'm going to change the narrative to be 'proper chuffed' to be out the house & spending 30 mins outside listening to nature & feeling the cool air on my face before going in to a super duper work event 😎 #MoreSoon #FloodandCoast

- Hey you guys!!!! #GooniesForever
- Last weekend I spent International Women's Day with the Dip n Dales Co. as they led one of their retreats. One of my key takeaways from the weekend was that they have created a safe space for yes people to live out their dreams. 1/3
- Im very much a yes person & I know that negativity can get me down. But to counter this I just needed to find my positivity tribe. It's easy to get caught up in the negative energy of those that surround us & this can be draining. Finding your tribe really matters 2/3
- Find the colleagues and friends who celebrate your wins, encourage your ideas, lift you up & inspire you to become your best self To my tribe, my people, my yes team, you absolutely rock!! Energy is contagious, so make sure yours a positive one ✨️ 3/3 #FindYourTribe #YesPerson
- Well well well..... www.theguardian.com/education/20...
- Thrilled to be amongst these amazing Early Career Researchers and their fantastic sounding projects funded by the British Academy @lborouniversity.bsky.social 🍾🙌 www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk/news/the-bri...
- Cold water immersion or "dipping" offers numerous health benefits for peri/menopausal women, reducing anxiety, low mood & fatigue Beyond physical advantages, group dips outdoors provides a sense of community, emotional support & deepens our connection with the nature 1/2
- My new British Academy funded project will explore these dual benefits with The dip and dales co. embracing coldwater dipping as more than a health practice but a holistic approach, enriching both personal health & communal bonds & creating an everlasting relationship with nature 2/2
- A super productive afternoon for @joshwolstenholme.bsky.social & me in our roles as Climate Ambassadors Thanks to the lovely Matilda we had the opportunity to meet with Bradgate Education Partnership who we'll be supporting across their 18 academies as they develop their Climate Action plans 1/2
- It was also great to connect in person to the equally amazing Becky from the National Education Nature Park, on how we can continue our joint mission to help schools further enhance their environmental education Exciting times ahead looking forward to making a real impact across Leicestershire 🌱🌍
- Prioritising women's health & wellbeing becomes critical during the peri/menopausal phase. Unfortunately, discussions on this topic are frequently overlooked. Many of these women are turning to outdoor spaces to alleviate symptoms, discovering they are essential for personal wellbeing 1/2 #IWD2025
- I'm thrilled that with my British Academy funding, I will be collaborating with women at this stage in their life, embracing nature to guide their journey forward. Together we're shifting the narrative from one of struggle to one of strength 💪 #AccelerateAction #IWD2025 #GetOutdoors
- Empowering women is crucial for effective #ClimateAction recognising their indispensable role in environmental conservation. However, many women feel unsafe in outdoor spaces essential for wellbeing & pro-environmental behaviours. 1/2 #IWD2025 rgs-ibg.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...
- In 2022, I co-authored the below paper with @Halstead_F exploring the barriers. My new @BritishAcademy_ funded project will examine obstacles hindering women's roles as environmental stewards #IWD2025 #SafeSpaces #HealthandWellbeing
- Did you know that women are disproportionately affected by climate change? But are also at the forefront of innovative solutions. Women's leadership in communities is pivitol & my British Academy project will be highlighting #ClimateAction #IWD2025 #WomenLed www.un.org/en/climatech...
- 🌍✨️ In one week today we celebrate International Womens Day 2025! This year's theme is #AccelerateAction highlighting the urgent need for gender equality in all spheres. Stay tuned as I start to introduce you to a new project over the week #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction www.internationalwomensday.com

- Last week, I faced a high anxiety demon by having a mamogram & an ultrasound after finding a pea sized lump in my breast. My result was ok but for my grandma (breast), my mum (brain) & just last week, an old school friend (pancras) it wasn't. If in doubt, just go check it out!!
