Not to randomly politic on main here but everyone lauding Carney's speech should remember he's a prime minister who's also ruthlessly slashing arts grants and also having a bunch of surveillance bills coming through under him.
We're not some shiny free beacon folks, there's fighting here to do.
My roommate works directly with out local theater and arts scene and it is STRUGGLING under the grant cuts.
Carney is able to eloquently put to words how powers should stand up to financial strong arms while actively destroying local art scenes with the exact same measures on a smaller scale.
