tips and faint praise to g.a.bunting@gmail.com | signal: gabunting.89
- Watched a YouTube video in which someone said, “Way back, people used to have computers that sat on funny desks in the corner of the room.” Be right back, just going to sweep up all the dust that used to be my bones.
- There should be some kind of internet filter to protect professionals from seeing amateur things in the field in which they are professionals; so that I, a professional book designer, do not have to see self-published book covers and typesetting on my social media feed.
- My favourite genre of review, that is basically every review, and really shouldn't be a genre of review is "I played a game about drinking a glass of water but it floored me by not really being about drinking a glass of water." Big "baby fooled by a parent playing peekaboo" vibes. Love it.
- You have a logo; you probably do not need a logo. Unless you are actively selling your logo, a simple default wordmark will be just as effective. You need a *brand*: the mechanics that allow the logo you don't need to function. There's a reason you can get dirt-cheap logos but not viable brands.
- In addition to this, I am also keen to get a wide canvas of demographic experiences, especially from trans/non-binary disabled folks and disabled POC for this and broader accessibility reporting, so please reach out if this describes you! DMs open, but other contact details are in my bio.
- Covering accessibility:
- The only thing really stopping UBI is a consistent argument from policy-makers that amounts to “but if there are no poor, how will I know I’m rich?”
- Don't mind me, just beating the shit out of myself daily for not getting enough done and not being able to secure more work while my body basically eats itself.
