- One of my fav book titles is “Love at First” by @kateclayborn.bsky.social and here’s why: 1) It references the saying but how its altered acknowledges how he literally couldnt see her 2) It’s pulled from a line in the book (that’s also basically the thesis statement of the novel!) #booksky
- As of today I’ve read 136 books this year so apparently it was actually a very attainable goal

- @ the aquarium w the 6th graders & we’re watching the desert tortoise & we think it’s pooping but when the “poop” doesn’t ever disconnect I realize what we’re ACTUALLY seeing @ the same time 1 of the kids says “miss im pretty sure that tortoise is a boy” & I just went “ALRIGHT NEXT EXHIBIT LETS GO”

- Abbott Elementary is hitting even harder now that I’ve been working in a middle school
- In the last month (since Feb 11) I have read a total of 33 books. Now I’m wondering if 100+ books this year is a reasonable goal but I think if I set that goal then I’ll suddenly lose all my steam for reading
- middle schoolers are the exact perfect audience to showcase my backwards writing capabilities to. they really appreciate the talent in a way no one other age group really can.
- It’s only been a few weeks but I’ve decided that I love working with middle schoolers. They’re so weird 😂
