- Rewatched this brilliant and prescient dystopian film. Set in 2027, society is collapsing due to infertility. To protect its identity the UK bans all immigrants, brutally evicting them from their homes and confining them in a squalid ghetto. It's what the U.S. could become, indeed is becoming.

- Outrageous as the Minneapolis events are, we must keep historical perspective. As I wrote 5 years ago during Biden, the militarization of U.S. police forces has been increasing by leaps and bounds since the 1980s, with no letup. ICE today is inexorable the result.

- It's mindboggling how brazen state-sponsored terrorism against the U.S. civilian population is becoming. It's not simply ICE fulfilling quotas; they're testing the boundaries to see how far they can take things. They will only get worse until there's a popular uprising.

When the 2025 Nobel Prize winner for literature was announced his name rang a bell and here he is on one of my bookshelves.

- It is astounding that people are being fired for exercising their First Amendment rights to criticize this blatant racist and pro-violence agitator. What’s really going on is the Trump Administration is using the Kirk killing to whip the public in place and start acclimatizing to fascism.

- These astonishing poppy-seed stories keep on appearing. In any other country they’d be dystopian science-fiction fodder but not in the real dystopia of punitive USA. Note that punishing innocent people pre-dates Trump. It’s a systemic issue.
