Not retro, but Z80 is the best of all time.
- OMG, wait, was there ever tetris for the apple IIe? I do not think I'v ever seen that....
- Tommorow is friday, I have 3 days left to finish building the 18 SG90 pots, re-assemble the frankenhex, and write software to control buddy. EEEEK. Even if its spectacular fail, I designed and built the ADC needed for controlling a 1m mech. Let the failure be, EPIC. :/
- ok, I have 6 of these SG90 pots made, 12 to go, I have a fear I'm gonna experience more than I want to about repeatability and reliability at a time I need to get a project finished. maybe dropping this was an omen.
- Why "52 robots in 52 weeks"? Well, I have been trying to learn what the snags are in the efficiency of me doing my builds. This challenge is me trying to "push it to the max**" Some of it is my conception of what I can do. This weeks lesson is
- 8 more jumpers left to go, I think I made OK time on this... (I hope it works)
- EEEEEK I WAS SUPPOSED TO START AT 'A'!!!!! .... wait I did..... OOOOOH CHINA!!!!! I have to wonder how many people got all messed up by this..
- Here is it with power and programming connections working, magnet wire is nice to jump with cause you can use the iron to strip it. disadvantage is it can be delicate. protect the bottom of the pcb after.
- I'm going to jumper this pcb with magnet wire. I dont seem to have any of the 'normal' rolls around, so I guess I'll gram a solenoid from 'the bin' and start a new one.
- er, what..... passing on the black enamel magnet wire for wiring this pcb... it doesn't LOOK burnt? but I'm sure black isn't on the normal enamel spectrum... SUS
- The downside of the via backlit led indicators is that if you dont know if there, or dont have the realestate to say so, you dont know about them till they light up. I still love it!
- I need a power led, I want green, I THINK green was across from the anode on these RGB leds? woo, first try!
- Assembling the analog capture devices is going to be a lot of work, wondering if I bit off too much for this weeks robot. <solder solder solder>
- .. I just fixed the kitchen fan with a part from a 100yr old typewriter... I an wondering if I live a strange life...
- ok! I thought these were double-pointers but their not, so this is a 5 channel test, not 10, but its fine, so I'll move on. Pretty responsive for how I'm doing it!
- Rue: "Kitty, come down out of the attic..." Cat: "**** YOU! I'M STAYING UP HERE FOREVER."
- ok I have the attiny26 streaming 10 channels over serial, next I need to test it, somewhere around here I have code that use that HP graphics emulation thing to draw a bar graph...
- Things happening now for this weeks robot: - write code for a 24 channel ADC streamer - build a 24 channel ADC streamer - build 18 SG90 potentiometers - re-assemble training jig
- oh and if you hear me mention the cat disappeared he's in the attic too..
- OMG LOOK RETRO COMPUTERS IN THE ATTIC!!!!
- SO, its not all robotics this week off from work. One of the tasks on the dread list was (yay 'was'!) changing the vent for the bathroom fan. When the roof was redone, they put one of these over the exhaust pipe.....
- 3d print support material is something I hate slightly less than windows keys.
- ok, so there dont seem to be many in here, I think I'm going to redesign the part to use one of the other screws if I can.
- Thankfully one of the smaller bins is sorted towards this type of screw, I need to do a dig for 18
