- Vast camps are central to Trumpism. Stephen Miller has long been very excited about them. Backlash is another sign that opposition to Trump/Miller runs deeper than revulsion at ICE. There's real resistance to the whole ideological project of mass deportations. 4/ newrepublic.com/article/2060...

- When you believe in constitutional originalism so hard that you mean the constitution BEFORE the Fourth Amendment was added.
- Reposted by Jason P. SteedThis is just a guess, but maybe the rise in dramatic prose from district court judges is partly due to a growing belief among those judges that it's pointless to try to persuade SCOTUS and they must therefore focus on other potential audiences.
- Reposted by Jason P. SteedDHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting. Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.

- We are the generation that grew up on the nation’s rising right-wing movement — Religious Red Dawn Reaganism — it’s disappointing but not surprising that we’re the idiots still following that trajectory to its fascist finale.
