- What is common knowledge in your field but shocks outsiders? Transitions from a glacial to inter-glacial periods are associated with a ~100ppm increase in atmospheric CO2 concentration (roughly from 200 to 300ppm over 100K yrs cycles). We've added 100ppm extra since the 1960s only (now at 420ppm).
