Venezuela seems like less of a war or invasion than a Viking plundering campaign from the Middle Ages. They surprise attacked, they stole stuff, they killed some people, they kidnapped the king, they left. It’s medieval—which makes sense because we’re rewinding to before the Treaty of Westphalia.
