- I'm so glad we are slowly getting to a place were black/darkskin characters can get Monkeyfication and it not be racist. Black people can like Watermelon openly and slowly like Monkeys/Apes as a favorite animal/fursona openly.

- While you're free to depict yourself however you want as a black woman. Redrawing actually racist fanart only legitimizes the original artwork. I don't think we'll ever be in a place where no black person takes issue with this kind of thing. It is very triggering for some.
- It's not a redrawing of the racist artwork? Its night and day to what the original was. And there will always be a minority of people not comfortable with anything. But it is progression that Blk ppl can openly like apes/Watermelon without maliciously being reference in a racist way.
