- Reposted by Sabrina J. MayerPublished today: One of the biggest #science #communication studies to date. We asked 71,922 people in 68 countries how they #engage with information about #science and combined the data with several country-level factors: journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/... #OpenAccess
- Me & my very able former colleague and now doctoral candidate Lisa Walter (not on Bluesky yet) just published a new article in @ersjournal.com We examine how discrimination shapes immigrants and their descendants’ trust in the police in Germany. 👉 www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
- Using survey data from the @dezim-institut.de we find: 1) both police-specific and everyday racist discrimination lower trust; 2) non-discriminatory contact increases trust compared to no contact. ➡️ Building trust both requires tackling everyday racism and ensuring equal treatment.
- (Also amazing publishing experience with @ersjournal.com - 3 months from submission until publication online! the entire review and publication process here took less time than it did at another journal just for the editor to send the paper out 🥲)
- Published in Pers.Indiv.Differ. with my formidable former colleague Almuth 🎆 @dezim-institut.de on the general mechanisms of PRRP support. We show: low tolerance for ambiguity connects personality traits to right-wing authoritarianism, populist att & anti-immigrant sentiment -> higher AfD support.
