- On 7 January, I commented for the newspaper Milliyet on the defence put forward by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro at his first hearing in the United States that he was a prisoner of war (in Turkish).
- Last week, I had the honour of representing Türkiye as a member of the Group of Experts at the first meeting of the update project of the 1994 San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea, which took place between 1 and 4 September in Sanremo, Italy!
