- This weekend's films... All pretty good. Nobody 2 is my favourite though, love a great action-comedy!
- Weapons feels like the breaking of the horror mould yet honours it throughout. It's the Pied Piper story retold in a modern setting on a saga scale with a tense atmosphere, grotesque brutality, and camp moments included. Zach Cregger and company made a great film with this one!

- Happy to report that The Naked Gun is phenomenally hilarious. Liam Neeson is fantastically comedic as the new Frank Drebin with Pamela Anderson being charismatically electric making the two a treat to watch on screen. A very worthy modern successor to the original franchise!
- In a state of curiosity I saw The Legend of Ochi which has some of the most ridiculously beautiful cinematography around with a style that reminds me of old school multiplane animation. But in typical a24 fashion it's a peculiar coming of age story. Solid acting from most though.

- After what was a hellish weekend in some fever dream-like aberration from the normal calm weather here the rain has finally returned. Feeling grateful now.

- Here to say that 28 Years Later is outstanding in its showcasing of humanity whilst providing a revealing commentary on war and adolescence. It's full of terrific performances especially from Jodie Comer and Alfie Williams. Visually and audibly, a true successor to the original. Go see it!
- The world's on fire, political tensions are at an all time high, innocent people are dying from unimaginable war crimes, and there are countless other atrocities happening around the planet but you're mad that a film cast an actor who isn't white for a fictitious part. Priorities need realigning!

- There's really a before and after reading Joseph Campbell's deep dive into the Hero's Journey because it now means that I'm like Leo DiCaprio's Rick Dalton pointing at the screen whenever the hero meets their supernatural guide. Like "it has begun, the trials begin now and the return soon after!"
- Honestly I wouldn't have minded if there was an extra ten or so minutes added to Karate Kid Legends. I felt that there was more to explore of the characters but make no mistake it's a film that is as swift as the moves one can see in it. Nice bit of subversion in it as well. Great stuff all round!

- How to Train Your Dragon, just a wondrous story altogether. Full of effervescent heart and adventure that is timeless. Stunning and awe-inspiring visuals and a beautifully boisterous score from John Powell. Acting is superb with the characters full of life. My thoughts on both versions.
- The fomo is intensifying

- Ballerina was cool. Definitely a worthwhile visit to the cinemas!
- I have no idea if it's fomo or what but the idea of having a Switch 2 or a SteamDeck is piquing my interest at the moment
