Having lead whole-school assemblies this month at a secondary school (1500 people) and then a primary school (400), I can confirm that the primary made me much more nervous!
Tailoring the message for students aged 4-11 was so tricky. Again, primary colleagues, respect!
So delighted to receive this today, well done
@xpateducator.bsky.social!
And yes I somehow made the cut and feature in this brilliant guide - thanks Jamie!
I hate to be that person, but I spent several hours today checking, scanning, filing and submitting my English Literature A-Level NEA coursework; the weight of the world has lifted off my shoulders!
Phew - that's it for another year
Well I’m still slightly traumatised and fatigued after an inspection and NEA final admin last week, but thank goodness for a 3 day weekend!
A delightful couple of days in Guernsey, exploring the island and working with schools (not at the same time!)
Can’t wait to return
Today

Today’s primary school adventure:
Saw some great teaching and learning
Told Year R if they ate their broccoli they would grow as tall as me (overnight!)
Crushed a year 5 at basketball 1 v 1 (he challenged me, and I explained the risks to him)
What a day ❤️
I spent another wonderful day at one of our primary schools!
It was fun, uplifting, demanding and every single day I learn tons.
Primary staff - I am so full of respect!
Why did I start this on a Sunday night 🤯
