- When Moritz Nicolas was bumbling around the German lower leagues (as a backup) & was on loan in the Dutch 2nd tier at 25, not many would’ve predicted that he’d go on to be the GK with the most PSxG prevented in Europe’s Top-5 leagues. Massive credit to GK-coach Fabian Otte (who’s now at Liverpool)
- Not only is Paul Nebel incredibly agile and fantastic on the ball with a really clean technique, he also works like an absolute dog off the ball. Brilliant presser and is regularly among the players with the most distance covered per match
- Maurice Krattenmacher doesn’t possess top-level pace, but due to his agility and ball control he is incredibly difficult to defend against
- Another Zehnter-assist from a cross. Absolutely unbelievable how accurate he is with them
- Mo El Hankouri is such a cool player to watch. So smooth, so technically secure and can play every outfield position (bar CB) to a good level
- Zehnter's crosses, especially from corners, have been a constant danger throughout the entire match against Nürnberg today. And his final delivery (in the 95th minute) resulted in the game-winning goal. Germany have their own Borna Sosa
- Restverteidigung? We don’t do that here
- Vasilj today
- Since nobody cares about Hoffenheim it has gone under the radar just how good Oliver Baumann is. Always has done the fundamentals incredibly well, whilst being exceptional at One on Ones & saving penalties, but has gone pretty much supernova in terms of shot-stopping in the last ~2 years
- Who would’ve thought that Musiala would become such a monster in the air? 3 headed goals in his last 5 games lmao
- Funny how Germany always used to have a problem at LB, yet now they have Tom Rothe (20), Aaron Zehnter (20) & Nene Brown (21) all coming through. The likes of Max Finkgräfe (20) & Frans Krätzig (21) are also worth a mention. Here's a bit on Germany's current u21 LBs: #InternationalBreak 1/13
