Being someone who used to think it was funny talking about going into Target, blacking out, and coming out with increasingly large credit card balances, I have shopped at Target a only handful of times (& only with gift cards) since January 2025. Instead of 2–3 times a week.
I’m not going back.

Feb 3, 2026 12:22This is complicity at its finest. I used to love Target until they gave free rein to ICE to do literally whatever they want to their stores. I wonder how much their execs and largest shareholders donated to Trump. So many questions. 🤔
My friend who grew up in Minneapolis was talking about it, and was SO disappointed, as at one point, they were the good guys.
Now I go to Wal-Mart. There are cameras every ten feet, they still don’t pay their employees enough, but I spend less & they have craft supplies!!
I spend less because Wal-Mart does not suck you in with the dissociative nature. Also it’s a further trip for me, so it has to be purposeful.
But when my kid needs more string for bead projects, we are golden.
