- Attribution science has greatly enhanced our understanding of international climate responsibility says Prof Patricia Galvao Teles at the ITLOS.
- Holding warming to 1.5c requires net negative emissions not just net-zero which would also future proof climate law over the long term says @iucnwcel.bsky.social’s Prof Christina Voigt at the ITLOS Climate Conference.

- Just to make it crystal clear - threatening 100% tariffs on your closest neighbouring country because that country made a trade deal with a third country, is breach of international law. Unless we start calling the utter lawlessness out, they will just continue. news.sky.com/story/trump-...

- Is creating sovereign US bases in Greenland legal? Doubtful. As as Nasia Hadjigeorgiou in @mpil.de Encyclopaedia explains: 'There is considerable ambiguity... as to the legal nature of the SBA.' Creating them under threat of force definitely violates international law. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
- Perhaps it is time to think outside the box and have a referendum in Greenland too? Perhaps Greenland could rejoin the EU and when it becomes fully independent, automatically be a new Member State?

- The @eucourtofjustice.bsky.social will probably not issue a negative opinion, but I doubt it would decide under rapid procedure. The EU-Mercosur balancing mechanism will probably be seen as compatible with EU law. It is just the smaller sibling of more far-reaching mechanisms in the TCA and WA.
