- I was planning on writing more fiction this weekend, but then a cyberpunk game came to me in a dream and I just had to write it down.

- This is the result of bike parts day. I upgraded my impulse-buy Univega Supra Sport to a flat bar, both to distinguish it from my Soma and because I wanted to. After test riding the bike in drop bar form I'm sure this version will fit me better, both with backswept bars and the correct height stem.
- Awww yeah.
- First time I can recall a TTRPG I've crowdfunded sent out a custom theme song, that was pretty cool. Check out Netcrawl: horsesharkgames.com/store/netcrawl
- It's been a very busy January, but today is a bike parts day. Bike parts days are good days.
- You can be a nerd about a whole lot of things; I'm a nerd about coffee and bicycles. Thanks to the mainstreaming of D&D by Hasbro, being a D&D nerd and being a TTRPG nerd are, now more than ever, two different things.

- This seems like an apropos time to bring back up a post I wrote back in February about TTRPGs, games, and table dynamics, and why the social "system" may be the one that "matters" when looking at your gaming group: cannibalhalflinggaming.com/2025/02/27/g...

- The new year means it's time to look towards what gaming we have in store, including what campaigns are ending. I've been thinking about a new fantasy world, but it may be more ambitious than what I usually do for campaign prep.

- The first tarot read of 2026 is about being stuck in routines and anxieties for the future. Appropriate as we're coming out of 2025!

- Reading walkthroughs of 'Sam and Max Hit the Road' and being utterly flabbergasted at how a human came up with this nonsense is a foundational memory for me.

- 2025 is almost over. My two month year-in-review is pretty short, but I can summarize by saying that I'm looking forward to a new year of more stories and more storytelling.

- Tickles the Clown is one of my favorite RPG characters. He's also the only one I've retired from a game early. Why is that, and what does it say about the sorts of characters you can easily play in a trad TTRPG?

- Thought-provoking thread; regardless of whether you agree with the conclusion about TTRPG design and the market Rob is providing really good prompts for you to stop and consider your own assumptions.

- Like many men, I don't really read romance. I am into video game romance stories, though. Likely the first post of a few where I contemplate romantic media, writing romance, and my own weird relationship with both.,

- Really enjoyed my time at PAX Unplugged this weekend! Ran into @willjobst.bsky.social and got a chance to chat with a whole bunch of folks I didn't already know as well. Now though, I'm tired, and lugging my #ttrpg purchases back to Boston.

- In talking about DIE on Cannibal Halfling, Seamus always said it 'hit me so hard that fiction falls out'. For today's post I'm reflecting on why it is and providing a bit of a preamble for my first piece of fiction on the site, which is based on a DIE character.
