- I have MORE THAN ONCE, now, received a rejection from a poetry publication addressed to the wrong name. I am 100% fine with rejection, it is the expected result, but good heavens. Art submission is vulnerable, and many of these opportunities don't even pay. At least get the names right!
- If you have the ability to squeeze in some mindfulness, Chicago, go outside today and listen. The ice is melting and cracking, birds are chirping, squirrels are clamoring around trees. It's my absolute favorite soundscape, when Spring insists it will not stay frozen. Maybe it will happen today.

- Revisiting Animal Crossing after 5 years has really taught me a lot about myself. For one, me 5 years ago was a horrible urban planner. You can't just give everyone beach real estate right up against a zig-zagging coastline if you want sensible, easy to traverse roads!!

- We need to stop litigating what is and isn't ok "at a protest" when more and more of these events aren't taking place at protests, at all. If you are existing in your own neighborhood, and an occupying force rolls in, you weren't at a protest, peaceful or otherwise. The moment came to YOU.
