- Like A Complete Unknown, Nouvelle Vague takes an uncompromising artist and gives us the most slick, likeable and playful film version of them. In essence, a Richard Linklater film. Linklater is a man with a 1,000 good concepts, and everyone is executed as pure middlebrow.
