- Both the book symposium and book launch of 'Tort Liability in Warfare' have been recorded and can be viewed on www.youtube.com/watch?v=y58r... and www.youtube.com/watch?v=nk1k.... Thanks again to Luke, Paula, Liesbeth, Ugljesa, Carla, Emmanuel, Hedi and Eden for the amazing discussions.
- The UK Supreme Court released its judgment in For Women Scotland Ltd v The Scottish Ministers, and it has considerable implications for trans individuals and rights, as the Court held that 'sex' under the Equality Act can only be understood as 'biological sex' >
- The Court read various instances in which references to sex, women, and men, are mentioned in the Equality Act, and in other Acts, holding that the ordinary meaning of sex is biological, and that only in interpreting sex in this way the various sections make sense >
- The Court further held that it an find no "good reason" to hold that the legislature intended to have sex protections applied to the "complex" reality of trans people >
