- I imagine the skeleton staff was quietly weeping as they fact-checked this.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroI hope someone buys the billboard in their hometowns show their pictures with the words murderer on it
- So many points for "onanistic submoron".
- I am so not a fan of pushing memes around, like the whole world is Facebook. But by golly, this exception needs to be shared.
- Somebody in this picture got pushed away repeatedly with "I'm trying to work here," and now I am soooooo getting the silent treatment.
- Not only impressed with this from @theatlantic.com, but, bonus: the title pleases me. Gift link: www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...
- Two things keep happening with housing-first policies: - it's proven effective again and again and again. - it's rejected as rewarding the undeserving again and again and again. The same people who keep turning this down spend the rest of their time bitching about people living on the sidewalk.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroStephen Miller speaking at Trump's rally has very familiar vibes.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroThe French are taking none of Musk’s bullshit.

- Every other year, moaning and groaning, I've obediently clicked through legally mandated harassment training. This year it was a revelation. It reminded me California still demands respect for people "of any gender". Just one of so many now-endangered tenets of basic decency still active here. 1/
- "No matter how you identify, you deserve to be believed and respected" - loved that. A video explained cheerfully and thoroughly how gender and sexuality are different things. What "cis" means. Why birth gender can be different than how people identify later. No argument or debate. Simple fact. 2/
- And not just the gender/sexuality stuff. All the hallmarks of respectful treatment for everyone and anyone, those here legally or not, are still intact here. Not with everyone; sadly, maybe not even with the guy right next door. But its still our standard; still woven into the California flag. 3/
- So harassment training - a rote, "whatever, sure, yeah" task - was deeply meaningful this year, with whole new facets. We still refuse to be cowed. We still grant individuals honor for who they are and what they deserve. We haven't lost everything - even though some days it feels like it. 4/4
- Reposted by Angie CoiroOver the years I’ve seen a lot of folks on the left say they’re getting guns to protect themselves from the right in a “they have guns so we should have guns” sort of thing and I admit I never saw it coming that the consequence of that would be the right saying “well then nobody gets any guns!”
- Pirro: "You bring a gun into the District, you mark my words, you're going to jail. I don't care if you have a license in another district and I don't care if you're a law abiding law owner somewhere else. You bring a gun into this District, count on going to jail. And that makes all the difference"
- How predictable, how tired. Trump acolyte Nicki Minaj resorts to "Yeah! Well, you're GAY" as argument fodder. www.thecut.com/article/nick...
- Reposted by Angie CoiroLeftists don’t owe a candidate their vote, they owe it to each other. To Liam Ramos, Renee Good, Alex Pretti, the people of Greenland, the people facing measles outbreaks, and so on. If leftists want to be in the coalition they have to agree to vote for the Dem nominee.

- We need @georgetakei.bsky.social to check in here with an "ooooh, my!"
- @davidlaz.bsky.social David! How fun to find you! This prompted me to look for you: youtube.com/shorts/kYNuO... - good stuff.
- The dancing guy makes this *chef's kiss*!!
- Absolutely busted my ass in the yard. Moving big planters, mixing and hauling buckets of soil, up and down the deck steps dozens of time. Celebrating all the calories I burned off! I just ordered in fried Chinese food to mark the occasion.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroWhy are you insulting cement and gnats?
- Reposted by Angie CoiroThat’s a lot of words to say no one will perform as long as my name is on the building
- This man has the ego of Narcissa, the artistic sophistication of cement, and the attention span of a gnat.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroWell he gave me the opportunity to reminisce about how my father in law, two of my wife’s cousins and two third of an entire church congregation in my little town died because of assholes like him spreading misinformation about Covid.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroYep. Censor Jay is celebrating the arrest of journalists who hurt his feelings.
- I can tell you with zero doubt how this will play in MAGA world: it's the fault of her criminal socialist parents who exposed her to government agents doing their patriotic duty. I see this on Nextdoor every damned day, right here in the SF Bay Area.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroAnother scene has all the heads of the various corporations show up (DuPont, GE, Chrysler) and when asked to work with the Manhattan Project one says “American industry has always answered the call.”

- Wow, this hits it out of the park: the Irish Times review of "Melania" calls it "Triumph of the Dull." Subtle is not the word here. Well done.
- Today's word that isn't a word in Spelling Bee universe is "foliar". How rare or obscure is foliar, fer god's sake? Why do I play this damned thing? We're not exactly short on fury fodder. This is supposed to be a relaxing escape. Spelling Bee exists to piss off Scrabble players.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroMy friend lives in Roxbury NJ where ICE is trying to buy a warehouse to convert into a detention center and she says they’re trying to fight it. Apparently many of the people fighting are Trump supporters who voted for deportations but are worried the concentration camp will ruin property values.

- Someone gifted me this link to read the "editorial" allegedly written by Donald Trump (of course it wasn't) in the WSJ. Never would have paid to read this drivel, but frankly the comments are so heartening I'm glad I clicked. www.wsj.com/opinion/dona...
- I paged down, and down, and down, and down, and finally gave up trying to find a positive, appreciative, supportive - or hell, even neutral - contribution from a reader. Nada. Granted, there are over 3k comments, but if the dozens I saw are any measure, they won't make him happy.

- If you haven't tossed the ACLU a few bucks in a while, and you have them to toss, this would be a good time.
- Reposted by Angie CoiroWild how you can basically chart America’s course over the past two decades through Epstein emails
- Melania's processing the few kudos for "Melania" the same way a kid takes in his Little League victory, when he knows his dad bought off the umps and the coach. Both of them grasp at the good feelings a win *should* produce, while in their guts they know it's the only way they could have won.
- Reposted by Angie Coiro1/ Ian Austin has since been re-arrested along with Don Lemon, which he believes is bc the video we made of him (below) criticizing the Trump regime and encouraging fellow vets to wake up had gotten millions of views. It's not just journalists. It's ANYONE. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
- Reskeeting, because I left out the delicious preview text. Three cheers for 3Below Theater in San Jose for this!
- Ahahaha!! "According to reports, two-thirds of the crew did not want to have their names associated with the project. "

- For decompression and relaxation this weekend: Criterion Channel is running all three versions of A Star Is Born. Nice way to be a blob for a while, should you need it. (Extra points if you know which pre-Code drama with a different name inspired them all.)

- Reposted by Angie CoiroAt bottom, the guy is just fucking weird. What does he envision with the all-caps "I AM PRESIDENT TRUMP!" Does he imagine it echoing eternally off canyon walls, like unto words of God? See himself bellowing down at everyone else, none of whom are anywhere near his status and blinding splendor? 1/2
- Reposted by Angie CoiroBovino pulled the "it's our city" stuff in Los Angeles, in Chicago, and in Minneapolis. The dude is from North Carolina and mostly spent his career in New Orleans and southeastern California. He'd probably never been to Minneapolis in his life before this month.
- Every edict from a judge is merely advisory these days - a kind suggestion at most. Because, y'know - fascism.
