It still “fuck white approval” in this household, but I’ll save my pitchforks for BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild, Oscars, etc.
- the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice awards are really the last of the ceremonies we should be checking for lol. When SINNERS gets snubbed at some heftier ceremonies, that’s when I’ll get upset, personally

I emphasize short because prior to telephones and computers mfers was primarily writing letters to each other and rarely seeing each other and still connecting.

- idk, I feel like the whole “connecting with people is lost” argument is an internet only one. at all ages, I get to see people connect every day because they’re not doing it behind or with the incentive of a screen providing them barrier. human connection doesn’t change much if you try it irl.
- to some degree, we’re all pretending on the net. it’s the last place we should assure that we’ll find authentic connection, and the first place we should expect to be frustrated. if that’s the safest place for you to be, I get that. the field you’re on is littered with bad actors, unfortunately

- honestly, hard disagree. there’s a noticeable impact on how interactions have changed, but as someone who interacts with people in public spaces on a daily basis, I could never call it lost I think tolerance and effort are low for a lot of people on any side of this spectrum
- I meet people every day who are curious enough to just want to know someone. If I was a fucking dickhead, I’d probably just ignore them or tell them off. Part of the act of getting to know people is to move through the discomfort of breaking ice and awkwardly stumbling through small talk.
