Video games industry lifer since 1993, Scouser living on the south coast, recent convert to miniature painting. If poorly painted space marines are your bag, then strap in.
- Nice to see Trinity Mirror doing the nation a service by scattering these around the nation's news stands. They will serve as a useful way to identify and track bad wools out in the wild. This is in my local co-op on Angmering on the south coast.
- Where's the Eric and the Floaters ZX Spectrum port, Konami? You fucking cowards.
- Excited* to see the next Simon Jordan youtube thumbnail after the failure to sort Dwight McNeil. The man's moaned non-stop the day they sold Andy Johnson to us. *Not excited, the opposite of that.
- One of the single biggest issues with UK politics right now is the reliance on policy advisors who have studied politics, but never even worked within, local government and people worried about "optics".

- Reposted by Mark InmanI think there's a serious issue with people believing that negative reception to a game is somehow "more honest" than positive reception, and that if someone hates something, they are to be trusted. It leaves little room for honest, dissenting opinion.
- You know what, it's 100% not my sort of game, but when the industry is in a rough patch, we should be hoping for the best to happen. I hope Highguard surprises and we begin to step back from the "willing it to fail" mentality. There's enough awfulness going on right now.
- Good grief. This could all be solved by calling them blackshirts and have done with it.
- I imagine in years to come there will be academic papers about Labour's thumping majority and the political advisors who decided to forgo transformative policies in favour of repeatedly shooting themselves in the foot and opening the door to a potential Etsy version of Trump taking power.
- In a jarring change of subject, the news that James Garner has signed a new long term deal at the Captain America Bridge Blues is most fucking welcome. Fully fit, our midfield is shaping up to be quite the thing.
- Forge Fathers coming along nicely.
- Christ. #UTFT
- Follow up from yesterday, added Vallejo Blue Wash to the tank to get the desired muted effect on the brass to the make it slightly less Custodes.
- Forge Fathers Sturnhammer Heavy Magma Cannon. I went for a more muted red than the one on the art but the combo with the brass gives off heavy Custodes vibes. Might try to mute the brass a little with some blue wash. Glow overlayered as I was too impatient on drying. Not terrible, just too green.
- Important update from Johnny Rico of Roughnecks 2-0 youtu.be/1jBYypDokdU?...
- Much deserved, it's one of those soundtracks that isn't just a complement to the gameplay but is essentially part of the gameplay. It also helps that it absolutely slaps as well.
- Done a few of the Epic Warpath models so far, tried to do detail on a couple of things to prove I can, but mainly keeping it base colour panels and varnish.
- This is what happens when you order Vladimir Putin from Etsy.
- I second this (though I did play through it on PC)
- Phenomenal deep cut. If you know, you know.
- I feel seen...
- "Tonight, Matthew, I'm gonna be playing Crazy Hyper-Dungeon Chronicles and enjoying it while wishing the Desktop Dungeon devs hadn't overegged that game with Claire's Accessories equivalent visuals and unnecessary gameplay features"
- One other thing I'd like to see this year is a shift away from post release expectations of large scale content updates for free are an entitlement rather than exceptional.
- Would do a "Games of 2025" list but it would just be the usual suspects (E33, BxP, etc) with the odd "look at me" title for clout. So I would like to shout out a couple of titles which are worth seeking out, they were early year titles and also Early Access.
- A small proportion of my brain thinks the decision not to book tomorrow off has aged like milk on a radiator.
- Been busy this Christmas #miniaturepainting
- What's unforgivable about The Minecraft Movie is the fact that it's boring. Don't give me the "It's for kids" stuff, Toy Story is for kids, ET is for kids, Goonies is for kids, none of them assume they need to punch down to their audience.
- Finally, a whole ass year late, I got round to watching Fallout. I hope, given its quality and critical acclaim, Liam Neeson and Peter Dinklage are suitably ashamed of their phoned-in performances in the games.
- Ashes of the Imperium is a strong opener for The Scouring stories. The historical excerpts bridging each chapter remind me a lot of the talking head sections in The World At War. I'd be very much down to hear a World War Z style book that focuses on opinion pieces and eye witness stories.
- One of my favourite cheering videos remains Limmy talking about discovering Future Islands. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeyB...
- I can't think of a year in recent memory where games have been stuffed with absolute classics. Take E33 out for a moment and you have Yotei, Absolum, Hades 2, Blue Prince, Ball x Pit, Promise Mascot Agency, Peak...
