Jamie Feltham
Creator & Host of VR Games Showcase, formerly HTC Vive, Fast Travel Games, UploadVR. Supporter of the arts, adventures and fine libations.
- Ian's about as thoughtful, intelligent, intricate and dedicated an editor you could ever ask for. Upload's loss.
- This really hurts. I'd call it a sobering warning of the challenges ahead if the industry itself didn't already feel stone cold sober. Cloudhead is one of VR's most sensible, forward-thinking studios. Our best goes out to those affected.

- A year ago today we started VRGS (or so LinkedIn says). 4 shows, over half a million views, ~60 VR titles featured to date Couldn't be prouder of what me and @zeena.bsky.social have achieved. Whether you've a dev, co-streamer or viewer, thank you for supporting us!

- Back from hiking and camping in Scotland - first break since starting VRGS. Skye, Cairngorms, Ben Nevis, Edinburgh, Glasgow. Unreal weather (got a tan in the Scottish Highlands) and some of the most stunning landscapes on Earth. Now to double down on a VERY busy period for VRGS!

- Very excited for today's Creature Feature show with some of VR's best devs showing off their latest projects. I know a bit of what's included and it's going to be great.

- Even any just random single scene from Andor is usually so good that it single-handedly justifies 10 years of running the world's best IP into the ground.

- Also been REALLY looking forward to getting into Stay after spending the past few months talking to @tripmaster.bsky.social Great week for VR releases!
- Great review from @henrystockdale.com. I am so very hype to dig into this today. Fireproof doesn't miss.
- I'm very ready for this!
- Me, a person with a normal Reddit feed of like-minded, rational humans: I don't get why people give Reddit so much shit. The communities seem great. *goes on a Last of Us sub* ...oh

- I'm just going to say it: It's okay to look up help in Blue Prince (But don't tell anyone you did it or you're dead)

- Oh no I've played two hours of Blue Prince and now I don't want to do anything else.
- I love the reinvigorated interest in handheld gaming but it's mildly infurating that no one other than Apple is trying it on smartphones. A compact handheld for indies/legacy titles/cloud streaming that doubles up as a phone would absolute kill in today's industry.
- This week's Daredevil is the most "we are so back" episode I needed after 7 episodes of basically nothing happening.

- People keep saying "but all From games have multiplayer". Yes but they're not all branded as multiplayer. Also "flow for one and one alone"? It's definitely some sort of battle royale or something.

- "Babe, what happened to all your smartphone data?" "Oh I used up 25GB live steaming a 50 hour video of Marvel announcing the Avengers Doomsday cast."
- Imagine trying to explain Tales of the Shire to J.R.R. Tolkien. Imagine his face in that moment.
- For my Mixed column this week I tackled what I want a VR ecosystem to look like - social at the core and smart store categories to guide users better.
- This is a very interesting and revealing segment on where VR is sitting in the social sphere right now!

- First game I want to play once we wrap up VR Games Showcase on Tuesday. It's been a minute since we've seen a great indie narrative in VR. Hoping this is it!
- Showcase 95% finished. Consumed an enormous burrito. Shut in from the lovely (and worringly unseasonable) March sun. Soon to export and shout at how slow it is. Full gremlin mode with @zeena.bsky.social Gonna be a good'un.
