- the fact that the world is such a beautiful place that i am no longer afraid to die makes how much the band The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die sucks even worse
- fold up piece of ham
- some one sat next to me the subway the other day and immediately opened kalshi on their phone like it wasn't a problem to be an embarrassment to your friends and family in public like that

- social media has been thrown into turmoil several times due to shower discourse and people not washing their legs. what was never talked about is people still use irish spring and it smells like evil laundry detergent and my peaceful mindset is being tested in this coffee shop
- a rare quote post but im catching up on podcasts today and this year it's going to be extremely hard to make a better and more poignant episode than this one

- americans are all cowards. no one is going to save you, not congress, not the courts. what will save you is joining my study group where we argue about disagreements from 110 years ago and sell newspapers in the park
- therapist: i know political turmoil can be stressful. we all react differently to stress and it's okay. how did you react? me: i posted therapist: what were you posting? me: please dont make me say it therapist: this is a safe place me: *sigh* i posted "mayonnaise is the cum of the sandwich"
- i just learned theres a ton of youtube reaction videos thats white people crying to bright eyes
- what was my biggest impact on the internet??? haha ooooo boy well....
- you're wondering "yehoak, you're so cool. you're so majestic. why are you, so fancy and carefree, online on new years eve posting a thread about public transit???" and the answer might shock you: i'm really tired also my knee hurts from doing cool stuff (bicycle tricks)
- making a rare quote post. if you scan the replies to this its a lot of disingenuous arguments about the nature and role of cars in american culture. Iowa, for example, had nearly 500 miles of light rail/tram/interurban transit at one point. it got dismantled just like transit in big cities
- the best music video is for Wax’s song ‘California’. that’s it. that’s the end. second best video is any Missy Elliott video directed by Hype Williams. nothing else matters.

- one of my favorite thing to do is look up small towns and cities mentioned on books, except if they're in america because you can find pictures where they all had vibrant urban spaces that all got hollowed out for parking lots and car infrastructure after 1950
- for a brief time in the 90s there were movies about people having sparks of brilliance and genius, like IQ or Pollock, and the soundtrack was composed to convey that spark by just sounding like "what if sim city invented jazz"
