- Looking ahead - there will be no greater moral and professional shame than being an apologist or defender of Israel while they committed genocide for the entire world to see.
- It’s so odious to critique people for being singularly focused or too focused on Palestine. A genocide has been broadcast on our feeds & screens every day for more than 1.5 years. It’s an attack on our shared humanity & global order. Israel is devaluing & endangering us all.
- India leads the world in digital authoritarianism. They’ve ordered X to block over 8,000 accounts across India - refusal to comply could result in fines & imprisonment of X’s local employees. Blocked accounts include human rights defenders & international news outlets.

- I’m old enough to remember when the right accused of the left of cancel culture. Now the President and DHS are attempting to strip people of their visas and deport them on account of protected speech. We’ve never seen anything like this before.
- Modi & the BJP have stripped dozens of individuals of their overseas citizenship because they dared to critique his government. Now a US journalist is suing. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/m...
- Palestinians are the front line right now. When you protect them from genocide, you protect everyone from cruel violence. When you protect their speech, you ensure free speech for all.
- Brian Nesvik is Trump’s nominee to run US Wildlife Service. When Nesvik ran the Wyoming Game Dept, a local ran over a wolf with a snowmobile, taped her mouth shut, paraded her around a local bar & shot her later. The images are haunting. Despite a national outcry, Nesvik only fined the man $250.
- It’s honorable to see federal employees resign in protest because they refuse to be agents of authoritarianism & corruption. I only wish more federal employees did the same in support of Palestine. It takes so many people across our govt to carry out the genocide in Palestine.
- EnergyTransfer — the Oil company behind Dakota Access Pipeline — is suing Greenpeace USA for $300 million for their role in the uprising. The trial begins next week. The case could set a dangerous precedent allowing attacks on unions, activists & journalists. Take action at greenpeaceontrial.org
- The UN Human Rights Council has publicly called on India to stop targeting Sikh activists in Canada, the U.S. & other countries, and has accused India of multiple human rights violations in a newly released report from UNHRC special rapporteurs. pressprogress.ca/un-human-rig...

- Bloomberg reports that India is working with the Trump administration to take back 18,000+ undocumented Indian immigrants. Some of these immigrants have legitimate claims to asylum and will be tortured upon their return.
- The CIA just declassified documents confirming that they surveilled Latino activists from 1968 to 1983, including Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales, Cesar Chavez & Mexican American student activists. I wonder what Latino activists the CIA & FBI are surveilling today. www.reuters.com/world/us/cia...
- Some people think it’s too early to discuss the policing & surveillance that will follow today’s events. Now’s exactly the time. We’ve seen how leaders, law enforcement & private industry weaponize these moments. Grieve those who tragically perished, but be sure to protect our civil liberties too.
