Scribblin'.
- The news can frame 500+ airstrikes as "ceasefire violations" all it wants; there's no ceasefire at 500+ airstrikes. It's not a "fragile truce" when one side is still killing people (and by the hundreds!).
- The PBS documentary "Failure at the Fence" may genuinely be the worst thing I have ever seen. Not once does it question why millions of people are cordoned off and under siege for decades. A work of psychopathic narcissism and stupidity.
- The mod's technical fidelity is impressive, but why deface the art direction?
- Watched THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB and PALESTINE 36 tonight. Two incredible films, but HIND RAJAB kicks the soul out of you via archival footage and recordings of the actual event. That's the real Hind speaking. PALESTINE 36 needs a little knowledge of history, but is subtextual. Please see both.
- A+, majorly slept-on adventure game classic, not least for its sense of atmosphere and setting (New Bretagne). The character writing is rich and deceptively complex. I've played it through twice. Highly recommended.
- Been thinking about this article (by Patrick Roesle) a lot, especially with Farage watching ICE with a gleam in his eye. www.beyondeasy.net/2019/08/sham...
- Got to try this demo (and a Steam Deck for the first time) a couple of months ago. Good stuff. I'm excited to sit down with it.
- Declaring it law that people can't weigh in on politics without first reading at least 20 history books. If any of those are Jared Diamond, Niall Ferguson, or Tom Holland, make it 50.
- It's abhorrent that, even in the UK—a country I have always been a citizen of, which I largely grew up in—I'm subject to a different set of laws than my peers by virtue of my ethnicity.

- @mikerose.bsky.social I appreciate what you did on the Islamophobic reviews. Sorry the troglodytes acted up. I bought the game.
- The UK's biggest hunger strike since 1981 (yes, the Irish republican one) is ongoing and I've yet to see any real coverage of it. Anyway, if you're in #London, you could do worse than show up at Woolwich Crown Court or call your MP tomorrow. This country refuses to learn, I swear.

- Loved the "Mind Diver" demo, and I'm all for anything Raw Fury, whose principles (and games) I admire. Check this out.
- I've been thinking a lot lately about Toni Morrison's take on why artists matter in bad times. It's good. (Clipped this from The 92nd Street Y, New York YouTube channel.)
- Because a "senior commander" was killed this afternoon, western media is talking about the related attack. Neither the last 400+ airstrikes nor the West Bank lynchings saw any traction, because the victims were merely civilians. All of this is profoundly rotten. Free Palestine.

- The "Darkside Detective" games are genuine classics; laugh-out-loud funny with kindness at their core. *And* the devs and publisher are really lovely, thoughtful people. I couldn't be more excited for a game announcement. Please get these games! I promise you they're great.
- These are enjoyable, bite-sized games. Give them a go before they're gone?
- Another 18 hour day. And to think I didn't get into medicine like my family because I wanted to work less.
- Reposted by KarimMy dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’

- Hey, maybe violating a "fragile ceasefire" 400+ times isn't actually a ceasefire, just a slaughterhouse with branding to draw people's attention away?
- Reposted by KarimObviously this is impossible because Alan Moore looks like he's genetically a wizard, it's simply impossible to imagine what he would look like as a schoolboy oh there he is.
- Actually true, by the way. This isn't a shitpost. They were named Fadi and Jum’a Abu Assi, and they were 8 and 11 years old.
- @spookydoorway.bsky.social You guys might want to consider removing the accented e from "Séance", since the game doesn't show up when I search my Steam wishlist with "seance" instead. (I found it by searching for "Blake Manor".)
