- Completed the 'seven-Heron slam' this evening (coined by @andyfmears.bsky.social). A beaky septet of Bittern, Grey, Purple, and Night Herons, Little, Cattle, and Great White Egrets - with a side of Fudge and Red-footed Falcon too! #somersetbirding www.birdguides.com/articles/gen...)
- Pleased to re-find the female red-footed falcon hawking south of RSPB Ham Wall. Best viewed from the southeast corner of Walton's reedbed loop looking towards Durston's Peatworks (or the opposite). Lots of four-spotted chasers too. #somersetbirding
- Firecrest outside my partners house and a Dartford Warbler along the undercliff in Barton on Sea this weekend
- Pleasant walk at Ham Wall on my lunch break today with both Yellow-browed Warblers still present with a melee Long-tailed Tits, Chiffchaffs, and Goldcrests. It's worth continuing past the warblers as the roving Finch flock frequents the far end of the reserve #SomersetBirding
