- Worked up a sweat digging out our car (as best as I could), and then clearing a path along the curb cuts for my street since it’s a nice thing to do and the city certainly isn’t getting to it. Gonna treat myself to a cold beer.

- Reposted by John LoweWhen they say the US is a Christian nation, they don't mean they follow Christ in any meaningful way (or that it's necessary). They mean God has blessed them materially and that anything detracting from that (immigration, taxes) is an affront to God's will.
- Every time I see commercials for like laundry scent booster and shit like Febreze (which I am crazy allergic to), I think about how we’ve developed this concept of smelling “clean” and I have to assume there is an anthropological examination of how “clean” is/has been defined.
- Like, how did something that smells so fake and weird like Febreze come to be defined as smelling “fresh” and “clean” versus just lacking an unpleasant odor? I associate the smell of soap and baby powder with “clean” but I don’t want everything smelling like that, just me very subtly.
