- “We can all play a role in fixing this together.” 🤝 That’s the message from David Knott, @ceo.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk as we launch our new Health Inequities: Structural Racism and Discrimination Partnership. (1/4)
- (2/4) We know from speaking w/ communities that there are real concerns about health & health inequities. Black, Middle Eastern, South & East Asian, Gypsy/ Roma/Traveller & Jewish communities face deep-rooted health inequities, as evidenced by established institutions & health statutory bodies.
- (3/4) When we launched our strategy we promised to support communities to live happier, healthier lives. We doubled down on this last year, when we promised to put community agency, power & control at the heart of our funding in England. Tackling health inequities is where these commitments overlap.
- (4/4) So, what are we doing about it? Read David’s blog to find out more. 🔗. www.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk/news/we-can-...
- There's still time to register for tomorrow’s Health Inequities webinar. Join us tomorrow, Tues 21 Oct at 10am for a webinar on our new Health Inequities: Structural Racism & Discrimination Partnership.
- Hear from @ceo.tnlcommunityfund.org.uk David Knott as he shares our new plans to support communities in England to live happier, healthier lives by tackling health inequities stemming from racism, discrimination, and systemic injustice.
- We recognise and value the expertise and dedication of organisations already working in this space and we want to work with them to tackle this together.

- We can all play a role in tackling this. 📢 We believe everything starts with community – that’s who we serve, and that’s where you’ll find us. As part of our strategy, ‘It starts with community’, we made it one of our four guiding missions to support communities to live happier, healthier lives.
- But we know not every community has the same starting point. We know from our conversations that there are loud, clear, and real concerns about deep-rooted health inequities, especially facing Black, Middle Eastern, South and East Asian, Gypsy/Roma/Traveller, & Jewish communities.
- Established orgs have consistently shown how health inequities reflect & perpetuate structural racism. These inequities are embedded across systems. They're not b/c of isolated actions by individual orgs - they stem from longstanding structural dynamics, as recognised by health statutory bodies.
