- @robertturk.bsky.social I hope it's ok if I ask you a question I had while reading Vale of the Failed and the Fallen here (enjoying it a lot so far!). During character creation, and on pg.41, you describe in 'Living up to Their Memory' that the players need to write down the tether provided by ...

- Reposted by Dimitri, Dr. GivacaLast, if you want to see Rascal survive; if you want more investigative reporting, more security for our small team, and more articles that celebrate TTRPGs, any level of support helps. Our investigative work is our pride and joy but it takes time, resources, and energy. Thank you again.

- My postal services hogged my copy for quite a while, but today I finally got my hands on *Against Time and Death*, @ickbat.bsky.social's fantastic multiverse duet game of war, self-discovery and connection, inspired by This Is How You Lose the Time War!

- I'm damn good at belatedly jumping into bandwagons, so why not another round of it? As usual this time of the year, I'm looking at my ttrpg habits across the past year, and I'm taking some inspiration from the #Endies2025 for a deeper analysis. theludonarrativegivaca.wordpress.com/2026/01/06/t...
- I've been mostly absent from here these last few days (spending christmas holidays with the german side of the family), so there's been quite a bunch of new additions to my ttrpg collection in the meantime. Some new games, lots of random dice.

- Reposted by Dimitri, Dr. GivacaMy End of Year video is on the "Golden Age of Indie RPGs," from roughly 2010 to 2025. I start with Apocalypse World's release, work through the Google+ Era, and follow design lineages and historical events that have impacted the hobby up through 2025.

- Hi @potatocubed.bsky.social, I've started today a run of Crucible and had some questions I hoped you could clarify (and I didn't know a better place to ask them): How much of an encounter at a location remains true when I find myself back at that location (be that in the same or different levels)?

- Reposted by Dimitri, Dr. Givaca99% of rpg zines and books should have page numbers. And that's just the start. There's actually a lot of technique and intentionality behind things like page numbers, running headers, etc. Let me know what you think! www.explorersdesign.com/designing-si...

- Maeveen, my TSoY character, would love to free her littermates in time to spend Christmas with them. Nova, my Hard Wired Island character, on the other hand, would probably be happy with simply some cash, because right now she's always ending every session broke.
- Take the word from someone who was fortunate to be a playtester for this game early this year, if you are, or have been, in any way, interested in dinos across your life, this is a game you don't want to sleep on! Check it out and *roar* and *stomp* with friends (or academic rivals in dino studies)!

- Dialect - what a GM-less game can be like. Zephyr - shows how environmental relationships can be explored in play, and how we can have mechanical weight/focus in things other than combat Yazeba's Bed and Breakfast - episodic, short sessions Monsters and Other Childish Things - because I love it
