- Don’t forget to thank DHS when you see them!
- “Let the trigger surprise you” Something that for years many shooters were instructed is to let the trigger surprise you. I.e. to press through the wall and the break and not think about when the gun is going to go off, so that it surprises you.
- The theory being if the trigger surprises you, you won’t involuntarily flinch with your firing hand in anticipation of the recoil, thereby not moving the gun off target. Just leave this canard in the past.
- For sure, preignition movement is a problem a lot of new shooters and even shooters who are more experienced have. The preignition movement, what most people know as flinching when pulling the trigger,

- Couple of the YPT lads vibing out on a recent Friday night with some cigars, dry fire, and kimchi. When you’re not shooting, what else do yall do for fun? Anyone got any good shit going on this weekend?
- Nice run from one of our contributors on classifier CM 23-02, This Could Be the Greatest Night of Our Lives. A-class run on this one, 11A 1C, 6.55 seconds, HF 8.8550. We know some of yall have shot this one as well! If you have, drop how you’ve done in the comments!
- Vaxxed?
- UPDATE: Charlie Kirk has died from his injuries, according to his spokesperson. www.wired.com/story/charli...
- If you’re trans and looking to tool up, the time is now. There’s no gun registry in the USA for existing owned firearms. But impeding regulations from AG Pam Bondi (who herself had an anti-gun record as Florida AG) could impair your ability to buy from an FFL. edition.cnn.com/2025/09/04/p...
- In his Discworld series, Terry Pratchett’s character Sam Vimes put forth a “theory of socioeconomic unfairness,” usually just known as the Vimes Boots Theory.
- So the theory goes, a rich person can get a pair really good $50 boots that would keep their feet dry for 10 years. The poor, meanwhile, can only afford shoddy $10 boots that least for a year or so.
- Over the course of those 10 years, the rich person has saved money by not having to buy boots every year over the decade.

- One of our contributors shooting a couple of the new 25 series classifiers. These are pretty cool and incorporate more modern shooting techniques like shooting on the move and freestyle shooting.
- This is in contrast to the “stand and deliver” style older classifiers which are often have stuff like standing on one place, standing reloads, and strong and weak hand shooting.
- Classifiers are stages in matches that specifically contribute to your class percentage and therefore your classification (from D class to Grandmaster)

- From azad_afa (IG username), originally posted on Instagram: Equipment from night vision fundraiser acquired! Recently, with the help of our comrades at @yellowperiltac.bsky.social , we set a goal of $3000 to aquire more night vision and thermal optics for the AlF.
- In our previous battles, these technologies have provided a decisive advantage to the AlF and our allies in the fight against the dictatorship. Currently, amidst overwhelming losses all over the country, the dictatorship is attempting a counteroffensive in key regions.
- Your support of the AlF and the revolution in Myanmar helps counter the fascists directly. Thank you for your continued support. Until victory!
- If you would like to support the AIF, they accept funds via the methods below
- In an earlier post, we and hevalti.fun.club (IG) talked about using a high optic mount to aim under night vision. Although the high mount makes NODs usable, it’s not ideal versus using the same optic in the day. The solution is using a laser to aim.
- You’ll hear people refer to that as “active aiming.” The laser mounts to your carbine's rail and projects a laser beam when you activate it. It’s like being a bad guy with an MP5 in a 90’s action movie.
- This solution allows you to maintain your entire field of view (even if it’s just a 50º cone of your PVS-14 single tube). This does affect 3 things:
