- 🚨🚨 IT’S MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH! I would assume Americans care about illegally made fentanyl & mental health treatment access (if you don’t, you’re gross- plain & simple). Here’s a tidbit of info you may not know about: A 🧵 1/
- An entire team at the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) was terminated as part of the RIFs. This was the team working on The National Survey on Drug Use & Health. It’s the only national survey focusing specifically on drug use & mental health. 2/
- It is actually a Congressionally mandated annual report & the only report of its kind done in the US. All major universities & researchers use it regularly. The NSDUH is an incredibly comprehensive & difficult data set to work with. 3/

- WE DON’T NEED MORE CENTRAL OFFICE STAFF IN MCPS! There’s already enough bloat in CO. This will be more wasted money that should be going toward supplies for teachers, fixing bldgs, paying subs & support staff a living wage, ⬇️ class size, etc. More money wasted on things that won’t help students.

- To give more clarification on what Student Transition Day is, see screenshot. This info was buried in a weekly #MCPS newsletter from Oct 21 and not contained on the survey itself, which had led to a lot of confusion for many people, including myself.

- This guy is nuts. Since when has there been an “aggressive suppression” of sunshine, vitamins, clean foods or exercise?🙄🤦♀️ Raw milk, seriously? That’s a hill he’s willing to die on?🤮 What about psychedelics- does he want to give unfettered access to them w legalization? Those need strict regulations.
