- My Ancestry-addicted mum has discovered a Huguenot branch in the 1600s and declared us ‘an immigrant family’.
- MRI update: all done. No-one warned me it would be 45 minutes of industrial house blasting into my ears. The bit where the whole machine started shaking took me right back to Fabric, room 2, circa 2004.
- Going for an MRI later. Have managed to not get nervous by not thinking about it but now I think I feel a little bit nervous. Would love tips if you have them.
- Employers are desperate for you to be in the office until things are about to get awkward.
- My best scoop so far from the Epstein files is that one of his mates thought the price of a flat at One Hyde Park was "cray".

- I Watched That Steven Bartlett Episode So You Don't Have To and shhh, but the guy makes some ok points? Starting with the idea a lot of women don't want to date men because a lot of men don't know how to give or receive love. It's got nothing to do with looks or salary. Which seems... accurate?
- If you haven't seen the trailer for this, I encourage you to look it up. The bit where she tells Trump she didn't watch his inauguration "but I will see it on ze nyooz" will truly go down as one of history's great burns.
- Just had to go back through some of my work for New Statesman and honestly am not sure I will ever top this piece on councils' crappy investments into crappy business parks. www.newstatesman.com/business/202...
- SO tired of takes like this.
- Just got a press release to tell me how successful a press conference was 😬
- Honestly, I didn't realise she hadn't already gone.

- New (depressing) figures from Molior on London housebuilding: just 5,547 new homes were started in the capital in 2025, 84% down on the figure for 2015. Construction was halted on 5,009 homes, often because the contractor went bust.

- Reposted by Emma HaslettBBC report at a headline level that Grok will now not make sexually exploitative images any more. An actual reporter comes on and explains that it will do no such thing, and will just make the images invisible in the UK. These are two very, very different things.
- Say what you like about AI, but our local estate agent is having an absolute ball with it.
