- When you book seat A10 for a late-night screening and some absolute weirdo decides that seat A9 is for him when there’s an abundance of available seating! Words fail me! This popcorn is not for sharing.
- Josh O’Connor seems to be in everything these days - and he’s always bloody brilliant. The Sound of History is very Brokeback Mountain but with folk music: Folkback Mountain. Joy Division’s Atmosphere was an inspired choice for the ending. Doctor, there’s a lump in my throat! #thesoundofhistory
- Bath needs to up its game in terms of exotic animals roaming the streets. It’ll never not be weird seeing peacocks sauntering along in Corsham.
- The whisky gods whispered, ‘pop into Independent Spirit’, and lo and behold, I snagged their last #MysteryMalt bottle of series 3. Like Charlie Bucket unwrapping a Wonka Bar, I peeled off the cap to reveal... a very fine #Tobermory 24YO @indiespiritbath.bsky.social @dornochdistillery.bsky.social
- ‘I Swear’ is my favourite film of the year so far! There were genuinely laugh-out-loud scenes (a rarity) in what was an emotional, heartfelt, and truly endearing story, with a cracking soundtrack to boot. Kirk Jones, Robert Aramayo, John Davidson – effing brilliant! #ISwear
- Who’s going to brave the waters? 🌊 Exciting to see who takes over this potential gem.
- Solsbury Hill is a great place to spot these ‘agents from the east’. They’re commonplace these days, but considered an exotic sighting when I was growing up. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...
- It’s amazing how fast you can sprint on an empty tank when you encounter a swarm of bees 🐝 🐝 💩

- Not your average daily sighting: the king of fishers #kingfisher #Rostherne
- Does anyone have any recommendations for campervan hire places (preferably in or around Bath)?
- Twelve quid for Bob Dylan’s Desire vinyl seems reasonable. Ahh, look, a stamp inside which shows the provenance. I wonder if it will add any value. Oh! #BobDylan #vinylrecords #vinylcollection
- The Salt Path is every bit as enthralling as the book, in no small part thanks to Gillian Anderson’s superlative performance as @raynorwinn.bsky.social. She succinctly nails the profound love, loss, despair & hope. And what a showreel for the South West. Bring on The Wild Silence! #TheSaltPath
- Think I’ve found the culprit of the annoying ticking sound around the fireplace that’s been driving me mad for months: tanbark borers. 5 or 6 appear in the window daily.
- There seems to be a very lost quail walking near St Matthew’s Place in Widcombe. Has anyone lost one?
- Found myself sneezing a lot this afternoon, and it was only at night when I was walking with a flashlight that I could see why! A crazy amount of what I assume is pollen.
- My first housemartin of the year, battling the breeze over the Batheaston toll bridge.
- @nigella.bsky.social do you know your X account has been hacked, Nigella? It’s pumping out crypto scam rubbish.
- Best pub in Bath according to the Torygraph. The Old Green Tree in #Bath It’s a good old-fashioned boozer but not even a top 5 IMO
- Very much looking forward to watching Bob Dylan's biopic #ACompleteUnknown. I can't imagine any music artist today, or in the future, creating the kind of furore that Dylan did when he 'went electric'. Great review by @ryanlambie.bsky.social👇 filmstories.co.uk/news/a-compl...
