- It feels incredulous that anyone could look at the Mappa announcement and think "this means they're producing more WOKE STUFF" instead of "this means they're producing more boring Shinichiro Watanabe stuff". But of course some people only see what they want.

- Today on X: anti-translator people being confused about the concept of wasei-eigo, and the fact that katakana words in Japanese do not always mean the same thing they do in English. x.com/berserker144...

- K Manga's censorship is technically interesting. All the speech bubbles clearly have their original shapes, even with censorship under them. Is there an automatic way to do this without layered files, or is there a human somewhere in the process carefully tracing all the speech bubbles by hand?
