My weird horseshoe opinion: Minimum wages are bad policy, actually
1) Just give people money. Use taxes and UBI/welfare to redistribute wealth. Making businesses do this as a middleman is just extra steps
1a) Lots of good work won’t turn a profit so shouldn’t be tied to employers, anyway
Very glad this is being introduced but $20 is frankly the bare minimum!
We pay our campaign staff a minimum wage of $25/hr because that’s where we think the minimum wage should be. People deserve to thrive, not just survive.
