- Every time the “National Prayer Breakfast” thing hits the news, I wonder why there’s still such an event. Constitutional oath-takers are certainly never there to discuss the “tzedakah” of Deuteronomy; nor Matthew 6 and First Corinthians 13, nor Surah Al-Ma'un (107:4-7); nor our Establishment Clause.
