- History Notes February 5, 1917: Congress overrides President Woodrow Wilson’s veto of the Immigration Act of 1917. The law requires a literacy test for immigrants and barred Asiatic laborers, except for those from countries with special treaties or agreements with the United States.
- If you’re interested in history and/or filmmaking, especially documentaries, I recommend the documentary Filmmakers for the Prosecution about how it was used for the Nuremberg trials. It’s excellent. I watched it on AppleTV. Also available on Prime, Fandango at Home, and Kino.

- Strolling through YT, I stopped at a reporter about Samantha Guthrie’s mother. The “highlight” was that the reporter’s source told her there was a likely suspect and named that person. The reporter originally called the likely suspect the “prime” suspect. The reporter kept saying the name over.
