- Reposted by Trek GlowackiThis is one of my big pet peeves of American jurisprudence. Take the 9th Amendment seriously! We do not, for example, have a 1st Amendment right to privacy, we have a 9th Amendment right to privacy.
- I'm starting to wonder if people who see the most benefit from LLMs don't already have a word generating gremlin with a limited context window saying shit in their head at all times. It's kind of a like an a11y device for the sane.

Get a thousand of those and you have a megawatt of power for three days. Get a million of those and you have a gigawatt of power for three days. Hyundai has sold 250,000

- Reposted by Trek Glowackisome good news buried among the horrible behavior listed: “The third woman said federal agents at her hotel are subsisting on microwavable bowls of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, because it’s become so difficult for them to find restaurants willing to serve them.”
- I visited hotels all over Minneapolis, went into back rooms & talked to the staff. They're afraid. One told me she resents how her undocumented coworkers spend their days cleaning the rooms of agents who are “hunting down their family members.” @notus.com: www.notus.org/immigration/...
- Reposted by Trek GlowackiBecause I'm talking about measles. It is also A VERY VERY VERY CONTAGIOUS VIRUS. If someone is in a room and has measles and then leaves that room and you enter that room within TWO HOURS (depending on humidity) you can get measles. And people are contagious for four days before the rash appears.

- Reposted by Trek GlowackiSo believe me I understand this is deeply frustrating and unfair, but a march that does everything right and still gets tear gassed is a successful march that is winning. A lot of the strategy of protest is luring the authorities into engaging in obviously, transparently unjust uses of force.

- I've come like full 360 on server rendering technology. The needs of a client/server application and the needs of hypertext document are so distinct. Trying to shoehorn both into a single technology just seems like a pipe dream at this point.
- Being doing LLM driven stuff (company mandated) and honestly, I'd rather just not write software anymore if this is what it's going to be like in the future. It retains all the drudgery and removes the all the dopamine-releasing aspects of the job.
