Also did not go 0-2 in SF 🥹 Some matches were more nerve werking, but there were definitely some verry strong sets as well! 😤

- First offline bracket win in Bristol in 2025! Long time coming but glad to have reached it. Genuinely feel like I’ve gone up a level over the past few months. The Bristol local scene is constantly improving too. Hopefully the game itself improves too!

- I had a fantastic time in Exeter. I also very pleased with: 1. My first offline win of 2025 2. My first ever bracket win outside of my home city of Bristol. The EXFG crew have been amazing supporters of SMBF so I’ll always have time for them. Can’t wait to see their FGC scene continue to grow!

- Tekken 8 Season 2 - they improved movement and removed power crush heat engagers, yet the game is in an even worse state than Season 1. At least with Season 1 the game was getting progressively better each patch. Now we are at square 0. I really hope they improve the game in time for TWT.

- I don’t quite know how I finished higher in the SoulCalibur tournament than Tekken but we take those. Slightly tempted to set some time aside to actually improve at the game, because right now I am hard carried by Tekken fundamentals.
- Once again amother incredible bracket. I am happy to have made another top 8. The level just keeps getting higher, you love to see it! Also happy for Schizophrenic69 to have won his first Waistman Weeklies. He was an amazing player when I met him but he’s improved so much since. GG’s all round!
- Another stacked bracket at Waistman Weeklies. Pleased to make top 3! Also super pleased for my brother to finally win it! From not making top 8, to making a few top 3s, to being gatekept a couple of times at grand finals by me 💀 to winning it! Shows what hard work and enjoying the game can do 👊🏾

- I won’t have access to Clive until Friday. Based on what I have seen, he seems strong but not overpowered, very good damage and wall carry but some weaknesses too, particularly with risky lows. Please nerf f1+2 though. What on earth.
- Remove the tracking or at least make it -10
- The final character of Tekken 8 Season will almost undoubtedly be a guest character. One day, inshallah, I will have this monstrosity back.
- Debuted Devil Jin in tournament! Really pleased with my placing. Small bracket thanks to Storm Darragh but a very strong one nonetheless. Gatekept by Joey once again. Also genuinely excited about how our scene can get stronger as a collective next year. GGs all!
- I have a feeling that the meta in Tekken 8 season 2 is going to be completely different. All the current S tiers will be significantly nerfed (apart from Shaheen). My wild cards for Season 2 top tiers (after balance changes) are: - Devil Jin - Azucena - Shaheen - Steve - DLC4 of season 1
- Obviously this list is based purely on hypotheticals and guesswork! Just for fun
- I’m so excited for Neutralmania 2 on Saturday. I’ve been seeded 29th so the expectation might be to reach top 32. However, as it is my first major, my personal goal is to go at least 2-2, and I hope we can see some fairy tale SWT runs!
- Update: I had a fantastic time at Neutralmania 2 and the Scottish FGC are genuinely the nicest bunch. They can throw hands too. I went 3-2 so technically I surpassed my own expectation but slightly disappointed with how I played. I’m still learning how to compete outside of Bristol it seems! GGs
