- The appearance of understanding is not the same thing as the presence of understanding, but A LOT OF PEOPLE DON’T KNOW THERE’S A DIFFERENCE

- Reposted by St. Chrisone thing that would be cool, when prominent creators turn out to be terrible people, would be if we didn't have to go through this performative dance of insisting that their work was never good in the first place.

- I daydream about acquiring an Ibanez XV500 and refinishing it in dichroic pink/purple. The original paint job is just two-tone, but a sparkly color-changing finish is its first best destiny. Also, this meme gives me life.
- Reposted by St. ChrisSo an odd thing here is that if you say "an unidentified man dressed in a Batman costume" your point is to communicate "it is not really Batman" but the problem is that the real Batman, within the fiction of the comic book "Batman", is also, literally, an unidentified man dressed in a Batman costume

- Reposted by St. ChrisI wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free

- Bass notes: 1𝄢 The Ibanez Bass Workshop SRH500F (fretless) and SR Mezzo SRMD200 (with frets) are made for distinctly different playing styles and make distinctly different sounds. They’re obviously related, but each has its own personality.
- The onslaught of cruelty is the psychological equivalent of chemical warfare. It’s tear gas that targets normal healthy emotions. The only way not to be harmed by it is to seal yourself off from other people’s suffering: refuse to recognize the abuse, shut down your empathy for the victims, or both.

- I keep marveling at the classical/modern design fusion. It’s like a theme park imagineer created a musical instrument. The attention to detail is wonderful. The INSIDE of the bass is stained black, just to make the f-hole look perfect. I love the way it looks, sounds, and feels. It’s functional art.

- So, I got this thing. It’s an Ibanez SRH500F semi-hollow fretless bass. It looks like an upright bass that wished on a star and woke up as an instrument you can wear. It sounds like that, too. Photos don’t quite capture the subtlety of the colors. The Ibanez Bass Workshop knocked this out of park.
