ChronoKatie - Now playing Tales of Abyss
🌸 Game dev | Fashion | Writing | Maybe Aerith Gainsborough irl 🌸 I’m making a game called @staroath.bsky.social All life begins and ends with Nu
- I had only a mild interest in Pragmata, but I held on cause it’s Capcom. Just finished the demo, and now I’m super interested. Should have never doubted Peakcom

- You can’t have a clock ticking to a black screen in a Nintendo Direct. Nearly gave me a heart attack
- Mom: Who is that, Kate? Me: That’s Aerith Gainsborough! Mom: she’s so pretty! And she looks just like you. Me: FTBDOUECSXJIISRCKOGEFji
- Aerith is the true hero of FFVII Remake because she wants to prevent Advent Children
- I still don’t understand why the characters of the FFVII Remake trilogy want to change destiny if Sephiroth loses in the end.
- As much as I genuinely adore FFVII Remake, the pacing in the final quarter should be taught in classes of how to not pace a game. The underground facility, rat stealing Leslie’s pendant, Hojo’s lab: Just complete momentum killers.
- It’s interesting how the the plotline of Midgar very much follows a typical 3-act story structure even back when it was only one quarter of a game. It really was ripe for being its own entry in a trilogy and I always thought it was weird people doubted it would work.
- I wasn't joking when I said I'd be walking down the aisle to Aerith's theme.
- The Switch 2 can store so many screenshots!!!
- The very line that made me fall in love with her
- Sparking Zero added the last characters we were missing, the Moro arc is getting an anime and a possible Xenoverse 3 tease... It's a good freaking day to be a Dragon Ball fan.

- Finished the demo! Absolutely gorgeous remaster that seems to fix some pacing issues from the original. I’m excited!
- WHAT IS MY LIFE
- Is THAT THE BOTTOM OF CRONO’s scarf!!!???
- Absolutely loved the Dragon Quest VII demo, but does anyone else feel like the art style, while stunning, sort of dilutes the Toriyama designs? Some of the characters and enemies don’t quite feel Toriyama
- It’s crazy how good the main cast is in Dragon Quest 2
- I’ve never seen a JRPG cast ask themselves if they’re allowed to have fun in such a dire circumstance What a beautiful little scene
- I beat Dragon Quest 3! . Absolutely stunning . Beautiful atmosphere . Fun job system . Sometimes feels aimless . Inferno is bullsh*t Oh gosh, I love this game. It’s about as good as the classic style of RPG can feel, and it’s designed in a way where every ability feels useful
- WHO IS READY TO PLURB!!!???
- I wrote a thing if you're interested 👉👈🥺 How Pluribus has Changed the way I View Storytelling - the-end-of-time.com/post/how-plu...
- He’s using an umbrella to avoid the satellites God damn
- The girl or the world
- Top 5 for the year. It was a good one 😎 1. Hades 2 2. Doom: The Dark Ages 3. Expedition 33 4. DK Bananza 5. Prime 4
- I beat Dragon Quest 1! . Cozy vibes . Stunning visuals . Makes you utilize everything . Balancing issues . Gear feels weak Aside from some definite balancing issues, this really made me appreciate the classic design of RPGS. You HAVE to think for every boss. Very satisfying
- I know I get shit for being a Chrono Trigger megafan and being open to a remake, but I’ve always believed it’s worth trying to A. Show new people this thing I love, B. To see the thing I love as if it’s new again, and C. Because no matter what, the original will always exist.
- All day long, I’ve been challenging myself to finally pin down my top 25 films list and I think I finally have it 🥳🥳🥳
- My updated Metroid tier list!!!
- Another aspect I found disappointingly safe about Prime 4 is its biomes. Aside from Volt Forge, we once again have just a fire, ice, grass and mining area. Gone are the weird alien vibes of Bryyo or the incredibly haunting melancholly of Elyssia. Prime 4’s are pretty but routine
- I’m gonna be the weirdo who says Prime 4’s desert and bike are a perfectly fine and fun idea, just not executed perfectly. Prime 4’s actual issues are a lack of ambition and innovation. It’s not a joke to say that there are almost no new power ups, for example.
- I beat Metroid Prime 4! . Beautiful environments . Great bosses . Fun morph ball puzzles . Feels dated . Does not innovate It’s a Prime game. It’s nothing less, and nothing more. It in no way pushes the series forward but it does grasp the fundamentals. Your mileage may vary.
- Oh, they really thought that was a good idea for Prime 4’s fetch quest……
- What surprises me most about Prime 4 is how safe it is. I can’t help but wonder if the goal with this one was for Retro to prove to themselves they can still make a Prime game, and now Prime 5 will move everything forward.
- So far, Prime 4 is… Prime 4. Imagine they made a sequel to Corruption only a few years after but it’s in 4K. That’s this game. Very safe but still a tried and true winning formula. Could be more but still very solid. Whether that’s enough these days is up to you

- Prime 4, I need you to be less linear, sweetie. Okay?
- See you all in a month
- From what I’m gathering, Prime 4 is a victim of time. It was in development while the industry made massive changes and they rushed to catch up. A seemingly half-assed open hub and increased story elements suggest that. I’ll have a review soon ^_^
