- My cardinals would sing for their breakfast and wait nearby for the feeder to be filled. Their distinctive song was a reason to rise most every morning. I admire them now from the balcony of my 4th floor apartment, sitting in the midst of trees where I am even closer to them. #CardinalFeedingTime

- Imagine standing with those whose dignity has been denied - the poor, the powerless and the voiceless. To stand with the demonized, so the demonizing will stop. To put ourselves right next to the disposable, so that the day will come when we stop throwing people away. — Fr. Gregory Boyle #TakeAStand

- I do have hummingbirds visit the balcony of my apartment, but not quite as many or as predictable as they were in the backyard of my house. They are oblivious to me in either place and are happily focused on the little red flowers in the sun. #WallsOnWednesday #AlwaysForTheBirds

- I have an osprey who comes to visit every day for lunch. He catches his own fish, of course. Today I got lucky with a few dolphins playing in the background. I apologize for the sound of the washing machine. #SarasotaBay
- It wasn't the sunrise that took my breath away. It was the privilege of knowing that forces a billion times my own strength had silently merged in the first light of a new day to show me that I am part of something much bigger than all of the combined challenges of any day. — Craig D. Lounsbrough

- When young, I thought I was odd to be mesmerized by watching clouds morph in shape and shades of all kinds of purple and gray….that I waited until the last possible moment to turn away. But I grew to find that I am not alone….. there is a whole tribe of people out there that feel the exact same way.
- I am blessed to have had the privilege to set the world on pause……..to have found a retreat to recover and reset.
