- Weakening the 2035 Combustion engine phaseout is a grave mistake that will push us backwards, create uncertainty, and slow down the green transition. Last night I told BBC News that Europe must lead on clean mobility and resist pressure from conservative politicians and fossil-fuel lobbies! 🚗

- ❗The scandal around breast cancer screenings in Andalusia is shocking. Under the right-wing PP government, results were never communicated to at least 2,300 women. I stand with @verdesequo.es co-leader Mar González & the thousands demanding transparency & accountability across Andalusia.

- Excellent news for democracy in Serbia! 🇷🇸 The @europarl.europa.eu AFET committee has voted Serbian students as finalists for the #sakharovprize for Freedom of Thought! We @europeangreens.eu are celebrating their fight for democracy and transparency, today and always✊🏻
- “This is not a moment for photo opportunities and handshakes, but for courage and moral clarity” 🇷🇸 Our comments on @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu visit to Serbia ⬇️
- Von der Leyen’s visit to Vučić sends the wrong signal: the EU must stand with Serbia’s citizens, not its autocrat. Read more from @vulatsetsi.bsky.social & @ciarancuffe.bsky.social here: europeangreens.eu/news/von-der...
- 🇵🇸🇮🇱 We @europeangreens.eu welcome the ceasefire deal, but it is merely a first step. The EU must use its influence to ensure accountability for war crimes, respect for international law, and support peace that restores hope and dignity to all civilians in the region. europeangreens.eu/news/the-eur...

The Israeli govt MUST be held accountable for the violence and ongoing genocide🇵🇸 t.co/WWb3TwnNqQ

- “An indignity entirely of the EU’s own making" Today, the EU shamefully ignores the UN deadline to present climate targets. What a dangerous, irresponsible precedent to set. Climate change is already here. The EU must show up to #COP30 with ambitious targets. www.politico.eu/article/euro...
- The majority of EU member states now recognise the state of Palestine. An important step, but recognition alone will not stop the genocide. We will keep saying it until it becomes reality: we need sanctions, arms embargo and to suspend of the EU–Israel Association Agreement. Now! (📷 Le Monde)
- It's dangerous and frankly embarrassing that the EU could miss the UN deadline for submitting climate goals. Remember last week when @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu said 'we must stay the course on our climate and environmental goals'? We need ambitious climate targets, now!
- We continue to condemn police brutality and unlawful arrests in Serbia. Solidarity with Bogdan Jovičić, on day 7 of a hunger strike and month 2 of his detention after protesting in Novi Sad. The EU must make clear that repression and rights violations are incompatible with Serbia's EU path!

- Reposted by Vula TsetsiThe UN officially classified the situation in Gaza as a genocide. At the same time, Israel keeps bombing and forcing the Palestinians out of what is left of their homes. We need the EU to act, stronger sanctions are needed immediately. This must end.
- A UN commission of inquiry has ruled: Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. And in the face of a genocide - inaction is complicity. The EU has a responsibility to act: 🇵🇸Full suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement 🇵🇸Full weapons embargo and sanctions 🇵🇸Recognise the state of Palestine
- I am relieved that my colleague Dmitry Kuchuk was released from prison in Belarus yesterday, with 51 others. Together with @liberecophr.bsky.social l, I became Dmitry's political godparent. However, over 1000 remain behind bars, and Europe must not ease up the pressure on Lukashenko's regime
- President @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu must act with political coherence. The EU must stand with Ukraine, Gaza, and Serbia, invest boldly in the Green Deal, stop teaming up with the far right, and defend EU values everywhere. Full reaction: europeangreens.eu/news/eu-at-a... #soteu2025

- The people of Serbia have known for a long time that Vučić is an autocrat, and so have we and our member party ZLF. It’s about time Manfred Weber and @eppgroup.bsky.social are finally acknowledging the problem, and are 'starting a scrutiny process’. We @europeangreens.eu will hold him to his word!

- Yesterday, Israel bombed Nasser Hospital, senselessly murdering innocent civilians, doctors, and journalists. The EU 'condemns' the killing, but words won't stop this genocide. Only action will. Aid, arms embargo, sanctions and move to recognise the state of Palestine. Now.

- Police questioning of Budapest Mayor Karácsony over the Pride March raises serious concerns about political intimidation in Hungary. President @vonderleyen must stand up to Orbán’s authoritarism and defend the EU’s democratic values.
- 🇪🇺🇺🇸 The new deal EU-US trade deal hands Trump a win and undermines the Green Deal. The EU cannot preach climate leadership whilst committing to years of dirty, subsidised US LNG. Europe can’t fight climate chaos with American fossil fuels. Next battle: protect our market sovereignty and standards.
- I am devastated that my country, Greece, is on fire yet again. Multiple fires are blazing across the country and in neighbouring Turkey, after temperatures reached 42.4°C on Sunday. Homes and forests have been destroyed, and people forced to flee their villages.
- Our demands are clear. The EU must stop the slaughter of civilians. We must act #now against Netanyahu, his government and the Israeli military who are starving the people of Gaza.

- The horrors in Gaza are unbearable. Yesterday, 28 countries demanded an end to Israel’s mass killing & starvation, yet some EU member states remain silent. Their complicity is shameful, as is that of the EU institutions. Where is @kajakallas.bsky.social? We must act to stop Israel, now.

- 1) The world was watching when Siarhei Tsikhanouski was released from prison last month and was reunited with his wife Sviatlana. But more than 1,000 political prisoners remain behind bars in Belarus. Amongst them is my colleague Dzmitry Kuchuk, the former chair of the Belarusian Green Party.
