- I’m just learning that on Jan 26, a man in Perth attempted to bomb the annual Indigenous-led #InvasionDay rally. While originally dismissed as a ‘hostile act’, it follows a disturbing rise in terror-driven attacks against Australia’s First Nations people. #auspol
- Reposted by KumikoVery exciting to see this candidate vaccine enter phase 1/2 studies. A pan-coronavirus vaccine aims to protect against all viruses in the coronavirus family. Trial is enrolling in Australia. Results are expected in 2028. www.ipd.uw.edu/2026/02/gbp5...

- Over 50,000 people have been evacuated from Ksar el-Kebir due to heavy rain and flooding. This follows December’s catastrophic flash flood in Safi; severe flooding has only intensified across the region since last October: www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/202... #morocco #climatechange
- Audrey Nuna’s notable collaborations with Thom Browne really are a full-circle moment (it was one of the earliest brands her Korean grandfather’s NY-based manufacturing company once fulfilled orders for).

- Nazis literally borrowed from Jim Crow and it’s never been clearer that too many Americans (and Canadians) don’t know our own history. ICE didn’t come out of thin air, and ACAB isn’t just my neighbour’s wifi network name.
- I’m so excited about my library haul (and all of this beautiful cover art).
- Extremely alarmed by the reported use of serious force by Durham Regional Police Service officers against defence lawyer Sudine Riley. York Regional Police is now taking over the investigation. #onpoli
- Alberta’s Blood Tribe Chief and Council issued a public advisory this week urging members to use caution when crossing the border, citing recent incidents in which Indigenous people were stopped or detained by US authorities (including ICE). #cdnpoli

- Reposted by KumikoICE is sending these kids to the concentration camp in Dilley, Texas, where they're preparing to have so many children that they're opening a new school there. They're actively hiring teachers now. I reported on it last month. We have to get people out of there.
- NEW: Federal agents have detailed a Spokane 10-year-old and her father. They remain in a Texas immigration detention center. The judge that is set to oversee the case has a 90%+ denial rate for asylum claims. www.spokesman.com/stories/2026...

- Pick a Colour is an understated novel that reads like a short play. I found Thammavongsa’s nail salon familiar and easy to slip into, but this won’t be for everyone - it’s an anti-saga constrained to the point of claustrophobic (perhaps apt, given the themes around isolation). #booksky

- Thrilled to learn of Autumn Durald Arkapaw’s Best Cinematography nomination for her work in Sinners; She’s the first woman of colour nominated in this category - both worthy of celebration and a bleak reminder of how far we have to go. #SinnersMovie #Oscars
